The publication presents a comprehensive evaluation of the largest cemetery belonging to the Late Bronze Age Lusatian Urnfield complex investigated to date in Bohemia. During the rescue archaeological excavation that took place in 2012 and 2014 in Čáslav at the location U Stínadel, 223 graves and more than a hundred additional objects were uncovered, in which more than six hundred identifiable ceramic specimens were discovered, along with several dozen bronze artefacts. The existing source base of recorded grave units from the territory of the Central Bohemian settlement area of the Lusatian culture has thus de facto been doubled by this research. The monograph not only provides a catalogue of all the finds and their drawing documentation, but also an analysis of the collected artefacts and an anthropological evaluation of the skeletal remains. At the same time, we found it necessary to proceed to a subsequent synthesis that not only evaluates the form of the burial site, the time interval in which it was used, and its geographical and settlement context, but also presents an up-to-date summary of the findings associated with research on Lusatian culture in the Central Bohemian Elbe river region.
