Conference | Problems of the Neolithic and Eneolithic 2024

Prague City Museum and the Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague are delighted to welcome you to the 43rd Annual Archaeological Conference “Problems of the Neolithic and Eneolithic” which will take place in Prague, Czech republic from 25th to 27th September 2024.

Fee: 1 600 CZK; students: 900 CZK (incl. coffee break, excursion, reception)

The deadline for an application, abstracts and payment of the fee is 10th of July 2024.

Program

• Wednesday 25th September: – arrival of participants by 10.00 a.m., start of the conference, lectures, lunch, lectures, dinner, student’s section, posters, free program
• Thursday 26th September: full-day excursion, social evening
• Friday 27th September: 9.00 a.m.– 4.00 p.m. lectures, lunch, end of the conference, departure of participants

Participants will receive the preliminary conference program (list of registered papers and posters, excursion program etc.) in August 2024 (if applications are submitted before the deadline 10th of July 2024). The final program will be available in September 2024, two weeks before the conference.

General information

Basic information: We welcome contributions that reflect research on crucial issues and establish the foundation for future knowledge. This includes theoretical and methodological approaches, settlement structure, funerary monuments, distribution of stone raw materials, field research and surveys, and information on grant projects. Additionally, we will have a student section which will provide a suitable platform for the upcoming generation to meet renowned researchers.

We kindly request that you submit an abstract in your original language along with an English version. The abstract (in a separate Word file) should not exceed 150 words, equal to approximately 1000 characters, including spaces and punctuation. Please ensure that both versions of the abstract adhere to the specified length limit.

We kindly remind you to adhere to the specified time limit of 15 minutes for your presentations. For the student section and field research, the time limit is 10 minutes.

Furthermore, we kindly request that all authors of presentations and posters consider the international audience that will be attending the conference. We recommend that you prepare your PowerPoint presentations in English while allowing for the delivery of your presentation in your native language. When preparing posters, please provide a succinct summary in English. The maximum poster printed paper format should be DIN A1 (594 x 841 mm).
