Archive of negatives, slides, and photographs administers the photodocumentation of both individual archaeological excavations and important finds discovered mainly during the excavations of the Institute. The photodocumentation can be studied within the area of the archive only after an agreement of the responsible member of staff. Any further processing of the pictures, e.g. for publications or exhibitions, the consent of the director of the Archaeological Institute or the responsible staff member is requested. This rule is not applied on the authors of the excavations. Details are included in the directive of the director of the ArÚP No. 6/2007 (in Czech).
The archive was badly damaged during the flood in the year 2002, is currently is digitalized, and the data are being transformed into the internet application called Digital archive.
The archive of negatives, slides, and photographs is open for study purposes from Monday to Wednesday, 10-12 am and 1-3 pm.
