The prehistoric and ancient archaeological site of Tilbes Hőyűk (Sanliurfa province, SE Turkey), was excavated by an international team of experts (including scholars from Spain, Turkey, the U. S. A. and the Czech Republic) in 1996-1999. Field excavations have ceased and the finds are now undergoing post-excavation treatment. Some of the finds entrusted to Czech scholars have already been analyzed and published. The project directors are now offering to the Czech side treatment and publication of the chipped-industry finds from this site, situated on an important ford across the Euphrates river. It is highly desirable that we obtain means to treat the finds in the museum storage facilities at Sanliurfa. Turkish antiquitiesŮ law does not allow any transfers of unpublished archaeological material.
