Advanced rescue archaeological research in the Town monument reservation of Žatec caused by underground civils reconstruction. The early medieval cemetery from 11th – 12th century was the object of the research. The place of occurance had been discoveredin 1992 during gas main reconstruction at Chelčického sqare. Objectives of research were to uncover, draw up documentation and to lift human remains and archeological monuments distressed by mentioned building activities. The relicts of discovered sacral architecture brickwork have been preserved with fine-grain sand and they will be protected and still under supervision in the future.
