The goal of the project is to present data and theoretical knowledge that can limit the risk of unexpected intervantion into archeological sites. The risk of damaging sites during building activities is worth considering since rescue excavations usually mean complications both for developers and archaelogy. Calculating the risk o f archaeological intervention for various parts of the Bohemian territory may save costs of industrial activities and improve the general quality of archaeological heritage management. Prediction of archaeological sites will be provided considering both wider environmental character of the region and local landscape features. Social factors, e.g. continuity of activity areas intime, will also be considered. The GIS software using digital maps ecomes the necessary methodological tool. Sites and monuments records of the Institue of Archaeology and geographical data from the Institute of Geoinformatics will be used in this project.
