The project aims at the assessment of new data on the North Bohemian Lausitz Culture of the Late Bronze Age, representing an outstanding enclave in the region of the Bohemian lower Elbe basin and Eeské Stoedohooí highlands. Its origin, chronology and relationship to the neighbouring cultural groups will be studied. The analysis of bronze industry takes an important place permitting the understanding of the nature of economic and trade contacts in different time periods. The results will be compared with those of the German research. One of the tasks of the project is to investigate the problem whether the North Bohemian Lausitz Culture was of autochthonous origin, or whether it was the result of a colonisation from the North -Saxony or Lausitz. Therole of the culture in the further development in the region will also be studied.

Due to death of the researcher, the project ended preliminary.
