Since August 2014 a mobile version of the Heritage Route – the virtual educational trail of the Cradles of European Culture Project – is available. It is designed for smartphones and tablets. Access is possible on the website or using the QR codes that will be placed at the information points on each heritage site.
The Heritage Route is one of the main results of the Cradles of European Culture Project of the Culture 2007–2015 Programme. The Heritage Route is dedicated to a network of ten early medieval sites stretching through Europe.
The Heritage Route website http://www.heritage-route.eu was opened in the spring of 2014. Each site is amply and comprehensibly introduced and commented on by the foremost specialists in the field. Practical information and a news blog are added. For detailed information please follow http://www.arup.cas.cz/?p=24265.
With the launch of the mobile version of the Heritage Route, we warmly invite you to discover and explore ten of the most fascinating European heritage sites by means of your mobile phones and tablets with internet access. Interactive maps and GPS navigation will safely guide you to the most interesting locations of the Early Middle Ages. Prague Castle alone offers 16 stations, including the Warrior’s Grave, St Wenceslas’ Well, and many more sights hidden to the naked eye.
The simple and intuitive design of the mobile version consists of interconnected texts, illustrations, and maps. The web pages of the mobile version are easily accessible on http://heritage-route.eu or using the QR Codes at the information points on each site.
