This project represents a continuation of the recent publication “Ecclesiastical Architecture of the 9th and 10th Centuries at Prague Castle”. It will focus on the architectural, historical and liturgical development of the capitular complex in the time from 1060, the building of the romanespue basilica, to the year 1350, with regard to the 2nd half of the 14th century. the first part of the work will be dedicated to the revision of former excavations, i.e. the archaeological remains preserved in situ as well as archival sources and archaeological findings. Within the scope of this work lies also the processing of current excavations. The project will result in the chronology of the construction phases and an architectural reconstruction of the individual stages. Our approach, the confrontation of historical and liturgical sources, aims to shed light on the everyday life of the chapter and its position between religious and secular administrative institutions.
